Lake vs. Litter

Bridge and Road

Jitters and Shakes

Rough Video Clip 05

This McDonalds's coffee cup was left in limbo between the lake and land. The waves bash it on the rocks and shore before sweeping it back out only to be bashed once more on the rocks. A seeming rejection of its Styrofoam composition.

Rough Video Clip 04

Cars, Buses, Bikes, Shoes, and Strollers all cut through the designated Greenspace of Lake Park. While the park is a refuge from the commercial and industrial bustle of the near by downtown area it still still far from free of the city's influence.

Rough Video Clip 03

This Bridge near Ravine Drive and the walkway is a human made extension of the woods that it inhabits. Nature seems to taken these human-implements and integrated them into nature.

Rough Video Clip 02

This field and shore represent lovely juxtapositions of the natural and artificial: the spray-painted grass and cement with re-bar are very basic forms of this human interaction with the environment.

Rough Video Clip 01

A broken PVC Goalpost in Lake Park is violently blown by the wind. The wind on this clear, brightly lit afternoon makes many of the images appear over saturated and sun-bleached. This clip captures articles both natural and man-made as they fight against the wind.

Light Capturing Strategy 02

The second strategy I employed was explore the various forms of transportation with in the park. This focus forced an exploration of the way we interact with a reserved Greenspace inside an urban area.

Light Capturing Strategy 01

I ventured to Lake Park again; capturing still and moving images this time, freed of audio.

To focus the eye of my lens I decided, from the experience of my audio blog, to seek out the juxtaposition of Natural and Artificial elements of the park and its area. This was the first of two strategies I chose to guide my photography.
